Dr. Yue Jin Named James W. and Joan M. O'Neill Faculty Scholar in Engineering

We are pleased to share that Dr. Yue Jin, director of the Thermal-Fluids and Energy Systems Laboratory, has been named the James W. and Joan M. O'Neill Faculty Scholar in Engineering, effective September 1, 2026.
The appointment recognizes Dr. Jin's contributions to research, teaching, and service in the areas of thermal-fluid sciences, nuclear engineering, heat transfer, reactor thermal hydraulics, and energy systems. The distinction was announced by the University of Missouri College of Engineering as part of its recognition of faculty excellence and leadership across multiple engineering disciplines.
Dr. Jin's research focuses on advancing the fundamental understanding of thermal-fluid phenomena and developing innovative experimental and modeling approaches for applications in advanced energy systems, nuclear technologies, and high-performance thermal management.
The laboratory is grateful for the support of the College of Engineering, the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, our students, collaborators, and research sponsors whose contributions make these achievements possible.
